The Corvallis Repertory Singers Presents: Alzheimer's Stories by Robert Cohen and Gospel Mass by Robert Ray

Robert Cohen’s 2009 work, “Alzheimer’s Stories,” shares the words, recollections, and experience of Alzheimer’s disease. Based on texts by award-winning librettist, Herschel Garfein, the 3-movement work offers hope and a voice for those affected by the disease, as well as for those who suffer beside them. The second half of the program features Robert Ray’s “Gospel Mass,” a celebration of joy, blending the liturgical texts of the Mass with the rhythm and style of gospel music.

Alzheimer's Stories Soloists: Megan Sand, mezzo-soprano; Simon Staples, baritone.
