PRAx Presents: Dance with Dobet - Movement Workshop
Come “Dance with Dobet” for an energizing movement workshop that welcomes all bodies and levels of experience. Known for her jaw-dropping dance moves, powerful stage presence and richly emotional vocal style, Ivoirian performance artist Dobet Gnahoré has earned numerous accolades throughout her career, including a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in 2010 for her collaboration with singer India Arie.
Dobet's style draws inspiration from her years living in France, as well as from the thriving music and arts scene of her home, Abidjan, one of Africa’s largest and most creative cities. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water. We will provide light refreshments following the workshop. Space is limited, so be sure to register soon!
