Oregon State University Theatre and Music Present: Stephen Sondheim’s musical masterpiece, Sunday in the Park with George

Sondheim’s enduring Tony Award-winning 1984 musical depicts two years in the life of 19th-century pointillist painter Georges Seurat as he develops his most famous work, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte." Georges, a brilliant but temperamental artist, struggles between his obsession with creation and his relationship with his lively and clever muse, Dot. A hundred years later, a young experimental artist named George with his own special relationship to the Seurat painting, grapples with success and his devotion to his beloved grandmother, Marie.
