Campus Rambles | 2013-present

Location: Oregon State University

Campus Rambles are contemplative, morning walks on the OSU campus that invite participants to enjoy nature, pause, take some photographs and/or write. All levels of photography and writing are welcome and the program is open to the public as well as OSU students and staff. In most years, Spring Creek Project sponsors a Ramble in spring and fall, led by photographer Cub Kahn and writer/naturalist Jill Sisson.

Rambles typically last about three hours and are designed to be fun, quiet and mindful. They often introduce people to places on campus they haven’t encountered before. Participants meander slowly between about four locations the leaders guide them to. Brief opening prompts help people settling into each space, where they’re then free to explore, take photos or find a spot to write in their journals.

Following the Ramble, participants gather for a follow-up session on campus later in the week to share their favorite photos and writings.

Registration for these events is required. We always announce Campus Rambles first in our newsletter. Please join our newsletter list to receive notices about the next one.
