The School of Visual, Performing, and Design Arts Presents: OSU Wind Ensemble

The Oregon State University Wind Ensemble features the most outstanding brass, woodwind, and percussion players on campus. This fifty-member ensemble explores new literature and performs the masterworks of the wind band ensemble genre. The group's latest commissions and consortium partnerships include works by award winning composers David Maslanka, John Mackey, JoAnne Harris, Billy Childs, Dana Reason, Kevin Walczyk, Gregory Youtz, Michael Coolen, DJ Sparr, James Mobberly, Dan Welcher and David Gillingham. The OSU Wind Ensemble has toured nationally and internationally. Highlights include a concert tour in Japan, performances at the Western International Band Clinic and throughout the Northwest, and an appearance at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The Wind Ensemble is directed by Dr. Erik Leung, Director of Bands at OSU and a conductor whose accomplishments are equally felt at the podium and through his writings about music history.
