PRAx is more than a building. It is a network across disciplines at Oregon State University. Our expansive mission is to use the power of the arts and humanities to propel knowledge—whether that knowledge originates in the lab, in the field, in the archive or in the studio.

How do we do this work?

• PRAx stresses residency programs for artists in research contexts. 
• PRAx regularly features performing arts that stress relationships between arts, science and technology.
• PRAx opens the Stirek gallery each year with a major exhibition on a pressing transdisciplinary theme. Over the course of the year, concerts, symposia and other events pick up the theme.
