Field Trips
Bring your PK-12 students to PRAx, or have us come to your school. Experience the wonder of live performance, visual art and more while making cross-curricular STEAM connections.
Field trips to PRAx are available free of charge for qualifying schools and youth programs with advance reservation. A qualifying school must have a minimum of 10 students and meet one or more of the following requirements:
- An accredited Oregon public or private school
- A program through a school that provides academic instruction to students
- A Head Start or Child Development Center
- A non-profit, youth-serving educational program (4-H, Boys and Girls, Scouts, etc.)
- Homeschool groups
Exhibition Tours
PRAx invites PK-12 students visiting OSU on campus field trips to flex their STEAM skills and discover connections between art and science. Students may explore the physics of musical instruments, learn about art made through AI and ecology and visit the professionally-curated contemporary art installations in the Stirek Gallery that engage questions of science, technology, engineering and more.
School Matinees
PRAx offers matinee performances just for PK-12 students. Bring your students to join us in Detrick Hall for a school-day field trip to see Grammy-Award winners, nationally touring artists, and innovative performances.
Reservations for Winter 2026 matinee opportunities will provided when available.
