PRAx and the Office of the Provost Present: Bombina Bombast & Lost In Time, Slumberland VR Theatre

Bombina Bombast, an award-winning performing arts company from Sweden, is a pioneer in the field of live virtual reality. In "Slumberland," audiences of 20 enter the Ray Theater and are transported to a beautiful digital dream world, where every star tells a story about young people's experiences of insomnia, technology, and the night.

In this 45-minute, participatory VR experience, audience members wear a virtual reality headset and interact with one another and with a live actor in the virtual space. The actor, wearing a motion capture suit and physically located onsite, makes this a truly unique virtual reality experience.

Before and after the show, you are invited to learn about VR theater technologies and enjoy a cup of tea specially blended to promote healthy sleep by Oregon Coffee and Tea Co. Image: Jurre Rompa.

PRAxKIDS is available for this event. We partner with KidSpirit to provide a supervised children's program. Visit our PRAxKIDS page for more details.
