Spring Creek Project Presents: The Champinefu Series: The Future of Indigenous Food in the Kalapuya Ilihi
To kick off the 2025 Champinefu Series, join David Harrelson, Cultural Resources Department Manager of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, for an overview of Indigenous foods efforts within the Kalapuya ilihi (Willamette Valley). His talk will be followed by a conversation with a panel of local Indigenous food activists who are contributing to the native food sovereignty movement.

The annual Champinefu Series is presented by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Cultural Resources Department with support from the Marys Peak Group of the Sierra Club; Spring Creek Project; Corvallis-Benton County Public Library; Corvallis Sustainability Coalition; and OSU's School of Language, Culture and Society.
This event is free and open to all, and seating is first come, first served.
Tabling and Book Sale
Arrive a bit early to browse tables in Toomey Lobby that will include:
- The display by the OSU Indigenous Studies Program about returning Indigenous Canoe Culture to the Mid-Willamette and Marys (Pinefu in Kalapuya) Rivers for the first time since March 20, 1856.
- A Grass Roots Books table featuring Indigenous books recommended by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde.
