PRAx and the DARKSIDE CINEMA Present: Free Film Friday: Barbie

Join us for our Free Film Friday, a viewing of Barbie — the movie that took the world by storm, in a pink wave, and we're bringing it back with a Wear Pink Party

To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you're a Ken.

The movie explores what the world looks like through the eyes of Barbie, including the realities of being human in an exploration of gender roles and the patriarchy.

Our viewing will be followed by host OSU University Distinguished Professor Jon Lewis and special guest, Hollywood still photographer Dale Robinette. Robinette has worked on other acclaimed films, including LaLa Land, Labor Day, Lovelace and Donnie Darko

Wear Pink Party: Starts at 6:30 p.m.

Dale Robinette will be in the lobby talk more about his still photography on display in the Student Arts Corridor. With (pink, of course) movie candy fun games, make it a night to remember with your friends!

Free Film Fridays is a series of free screenings hosted by Distinguished Professor of Film Jon Lewis, selected to spark discussions across disciplines. Professor Lewis will briefly introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion with OSU faculty experts on the film's topic. Learn more
