PRAx Presents: Harry Yeff, aka Reeps100

Visual artist, champion beatboxer, and international thought-leader on the relationship between voice and technology, Harry Yeff (aka Reeps100) has been a three-time artist-in-residence at Harvard University, delivered TED talks around the world, held a musical “chess match” with his AI artist twin in the anechoic chamber at Bell Labs, directed the world’s first AI-driven ballet (at the Leipzig Opera House), and is one of the most influential AI thought leaders of our time.

At PRAx, his talk/performance “Augmented Voices: AI and the New Creative Intelligence” coincides with the installation of his landmark project Voice Gems in the Edward J. Ray Theater, which will be on display from October 3-17.

Yeff's exhibition will also feature Agentic Voicing Natures, a conceptual and technological initiative that gives endangered environments and extinct species a voice. Through conversational AI, custom voice design, and sonic storytelling, the project enables nature to speak for itself. Voices have been developed for the Thwaites Glacier, the Dodo, the Bengal Tiger, and the Northern White Rhino, drawing on environmental soundscapes, species records, and ecological histories.

Each voice becomes an interactive presence, inviting audiences into direct dialogue with non-human worlds. The work was shared at the United Nations AI for Good initiative, where it contributed to conversations on ethics, climate, and the future of human-machine collaboration, initiating over 3000 conversations
over three days.

Through his partnership with the ITU United Nations and groundbreaking work in AI, Yeff challenges the conventional boundaries between humans and machines, pushing us to rethink our relationship with technology. His research at the intersection of storytelling, art, and creative intelligence is not just about adapting to disruptions. It’s about shaping a new paradigm for living and working.

Harry Yeff's talk/performance is offered as part of PRAx's 2025-26 annual theme of Arts + AI, and in partnership with the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex.
