PRAx Presents: Jacob Jolliff Band
Whether you’re a fan of bluegrass music or just bluegrass-curious, you’ll hear something new when bluegrass comes to PRAx. The Jacob Jolliff Band brings an invigorating mix of traditional bluegrass, original compositions and even some unlikely pop covers to their playlist.
One of the world’s premier contemporary mandolinists, Jolliff has performed with Béla Fleck, Tony Trischka and many others, all while touring as a member of the Yonder Mountain String Band and Joy Kills Sorrow. Now, he’s stepping out with his own ensemble, offering up a progressive bluegrass sound that’s alive with unexpected improvisation and beautiful ensemble interplay.
