A virtuosic duo with both a deep pedigree and profound influence on American strings music, Mark and Maggie O’Connor bring a beautiful holiday program to PRAx. From his early years with the David Grisman Quintet, three-time Grammy winner and seven-time CMA award-winner Mark O’Connor has released over 45 albums, including the chart-topping releases “Appalachia Waltz” and “Appalachian Journey” with Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer. Joining him at on the holiday tour, Grammy-winning violinist and singer Maggie O’Connor has performed with Vince Gill, Bela Fleck, and Zac Brown as well as in front of orchestras around the world.

Grammy-winning composer and fiddler Mark O’Connor has created several arrangements of Christmas classics and fashions a wondrous mixture of both instrumental and vocal music in bluegrass and other American music genres.
