School of Visual, Performing and Design Arts Presents: OSU Percussion Ensemble - Winter Concert

Adventurous. Thoughtful. Cutting-edge. Lyrical. Theatrical. Groovy.

The OSU Percussion Ensemble brings you the best in chamber repertoire for struck instruments – from the classics of the genre stretching back to the early twentieth century to premieres of new music by in-demand composers. Along with the usual assortment of concert toms, marimbas, snare drums, vibraphones, timpani, djembes and triangles, students in the ensemble will also happily make music with empty oxygen tanks, an altered piano, gongs suspended in water, electronics, multimedia, and even the occasional confetti cannon.

The OSU Percussion Ensemble is co-directed by Dr. Robert Brudvig, Associate Professor and Director of Percussion, and Justin Preece, Instructor of Percussion and Coordinator of the Oregon State Drumline.
