Join us for the second Provost’s Lecture in the 2025-26 series featuring journalist, reporter and news correspondent, Harry Smith. 

Over a career spanning nearly 40 years, Harry Smith has been everywhere and seen it all. Best known as a reporter at NBC News and anchor at CBS News, Smith has filed stories from all 50 states and every continent. He’s interviewed multiple U.S. presidents, won four Emmys, a Peabody and the Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award. In his keynote, Smith will share stories and lessons learned from covering the news as it happened.
