Spring Creek Project Presents: Spring Campus Ramble

So much of one's time on a college campus is spent going from one place to another. How often do we have the time and space to pause and take in the pockets of natural wonders a campus like Oregon State has to offer?

Campus Rambles are a long-standing program led by photographer Cub Kahn and writer Jill Sisson that invite a small group to slowly wander to a few select spots on campus to pause, reflect, write and take photographs. Cub and Jill pick new spots to visit each Ramble, often introducing participants to places on campus they've never seen or noticed before. Spring Rambles offer the riches of birdsong and blooming trees and flowers.

Join us for a beautiful morning nature walk from 9 a.m. to noon on April 26. Bring your journal and, if you wish, a camera or phone to take photos. All levels of photography and writing are welcome. Registration required.

The group will also meet for a follow-up session two days after the Ramble, on April 28 at 6:30 p.m., to share their favorite photos and bits of writing from the walk.

We'll send the meet-up location for the Ramble and the follow-up session to all registrants before the Ramble.

Engage Further: Campus Wild

The Campus Ramble offers a perfect opportunity to discover a species for our Campus Wild program, which is seeking creative submissions in the categories of poetry, art, and more. Campus and community members are invited to choose one wild species on campus on which to focus their creative response. Submissions due May 4.
