Faculty Opportunities

This multidisciplinary Arts-Sci faculty group brings together OSU faculty with fellow colleagues, students, and community members in order to advance the intersection of the arts and sciences. Arts-Sci faculty develop lecture series and exhibits, manage a student fellowship program, support a student-led organization, collaborate on course development and new course offerings and foster a rich interchange of ideas.

Faculty Leadership

The Arts-Sci Faculty Group meets once a term. Any faculty member interested in this intersection is welcome to join. If you are interested in connecting with the Arts-Sci Faculty Group, please contact Jerri Bartholomew for more information.

Mentoring Students

Arts-Sci faculty support students by serving as mentors for the PRAx Student Fellowship, a year-long student experience. Mentors attend an orientation reception and work with one or more students at least once a month to help them develop their project.

We coordinate faculty mentorship opportunities in four disciplines: art, engineering, humanities and science. To learn more or express interest in becoming a mentor, contact Joy Jensen at [email protected].
