Champinefu Lecture Series | 2017-Present

Spring Creek Project has been honored to co-sponsor the annual Champinefu Lecture Series since it began in 2017. "Champinefu" is the Kalapuya name for the lower Marys River Valley area now called Corvallis and Philomath in Benton County, Oregon.

Each year, topics and speakers are chosen by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde. The lectures have been a mix of online webinars and in-person events at venues such as the Majestic Theatre in downtown Corvallis, Oregon. Additional program partners have included the Marys Peak Group of the Sierra Club and the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library.
